If we look to nature as our greatest teacher, it’s not hard to see that transformation, or change, is a consistent factor in how life expands and evolves into greater levels of authenticity and honest expression. In this setting we can see that change is transformation in its most raw and unrecognized form. What differentiates change from transformation in a human context is the conscious utilization of change (by an individual or group) to expand into deeper levels of self-hood, authenticity and spiritual health. This differentiation is what I have defined previously as vulnerability: the willingness to venture into the unknown through the doorway of inconvenient change and uncomfortable loss. Embedded within this process is the death or ‘succession’ of elements and aspects of the system or ‘self’ that mirror imbalance and no longer serve the trajectory of expansion into greater authenticity. As the old dies away it gives rise to new growth that was seeded long ago, but has been lying dormant, waiting for the right conditions to emerge. You see, death and rebirth are really part of the same process, and transformation is the conscious utilisation and leveraging of the old as fuel to grow the new.
New Earth Stewardship is a cross-disciplinary, multi-dimensional tool-box that aims to facilitate nature to take it’s course. It endeavours to catalyse human, subtle and natural systems into dynamic co-evolution for the wellbeing of all.
